About the Tournament

The 2024 Copa América will be the 48th edition of the Copa América, an international men's soccer championship organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). It will be the first Copa América held outside South America, as it will be hosted by the United States from June 20 to July 14, 2024.

Host Selection

The United States was selected as host in January 2023 as part of a collaborative partnership agreement between CONMEBOL and the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF). This agreement also includes the 2023 and 2027 editions of the Copa América.

Tournament Format

The tournament will feature 16 teams, including all 10 CONMEBOL member nations and six guest nations from CONCACAF. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be followed by the semifinals and the final.
